Paul Hindemith and Historically Oriented Performance Practice:
a Study based on Issued and Un-Issued Sound Recordings
During his stay in the United States, Paul Hindemith introduced many music lovers and musicians to Medieval and Reinassance music by performances with his Collegium Musicum at Yale and at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. Published and un-published live sound recordings surrender aspects of Hindemit's performing style which written sources cannot tell us. (Presentation with sound recordings.)

Pendant son sejour aux Etats-Unis, Paul Hindemith introduisa plusieurs amateurs de musique et musiciens à la musique du Moyen Age et de la Renaissance avec les exécutions de son Collegium Musicum à Yale et au Metropolitan Museum of Art de New York. Enregistrements publiques publiés et inédits nous donnes des aspècts du style d'exécution de Hindemith que les sources écrites ne peuvent pas nous dire. (Présentation avec enregistrements sonores).

Wärend seines us-Aufenhalts machte Paul Hindemit viele Musikfreunde und Musiker mit der Musik des Mittelalters und der Reinassance vertraut, indem er mit seinem Collegium Musicum in Yale and in New Yorker Metropolitan Museum of Art musizierte. Veröffentlichte und private Mitschnitte zeigen uns Aspecte von Hindemiths Musiziertstill, die uns schriftliche Quellen nicht vermitteln können. (Vortrag mit Klangbeispielen.)
