An introduction to the RILM World Wide Web Site
The RILM world-wide web (WWW) site was released to the public in August
1996. It is maintained on a server supported by the Committee on
Institutional Cooperation (CIC), an academic consortium of 13 large
universities (including Ohio State University) in the North-Central
region of the United States. The address of the RILM WWW site is:
http://rilm.cic.net
The most important feature of this WWW site is a set of Hyper Text
Markup Language (HTML) forms and Common Gateway Interface (CGI) programs
for the use of RILM national committee members. These forms and
programs permit users to send abstracts in electronic form to the RILM
International Center in New York. The forms allow users to input and
transfer ISO Latin-1 characters with diacritical marks. A separate set
of HTML forms (currently under development, due for release later in
1996) will permit authors to send abstracts to participating RILM
national committees.
The RILM WWW site also contains other information about the RILM
project, including news, subscription information, an "on-ramp" to the
OCLC online database services, and the names and addresses of contact
persons at the RILM International Center and each national committee
(including e-mail and WWW links)
Une Présentation d'un Site pour RILM sur le World-Wide Web (WWW)
Un site du RILM vient d'être établi sur le world-wide web (WWW). Le site
est maintenu sur un server, sostenu par le Committee on Institutional
Cooperation (CIC), une réunion de 13 universitées de la région
nord-centrale des États-Unis. L'adresse du site WWW du RILM
est le suivant:

Le trait le plus significatif du site WWW est un choix de formulaires
Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) et de programmes Common Gateway
Interface (CGI) destinés aux besoins des membres des comités nationales
du RILM. Les formulaires sont capables de transmettre ISO-Latin 1 avec
des accents désirés. Un autre assortiment de formulaires HTML (mis au
point à présent) permettra (avant la fin de 1996) aux chercheurs de
transmettre leurs propres abstracts aux comités natioanles du RILM.
Également inclus sur le site WWW du RILM sont des
informations sur la base de données OCLC dont RILM est un participant.

Programme, die zur Ver fügung der Mitglieder der RILM-National-Komitees
stehen. Dadurch können die Komitees elektronische Daten zum RILM
Internationalzentrum in New York senden. Durch dieses System darf man
auch ISO Latin-1 diakritische Zeichen senden.
